SWEET CAROLINE

Penn Sate pulls "Sweet Caroline" from football stadium playlist.  Lyrics "touching me, touching you"  a little to sensitive for their taste.

IT'S OVER OR IS IT? Armstrong the martyr

His acceptance of the USADA sanction — a lifetime ban and the stripping of all results earned since 1999 — is not an admission of guilt, but rather a refusal to address the allegations.

So, here we are. Did Lance Armstrong dope during his historic career, as USADA and a collection of its witnesses allege? Armstrong, coy as ever, made the only decision tonight that he could. By accepting a lifetime ban, he turned the conversation for many from whether he doped, to whether, in the big picture, it really matters.

UNFORTUNATELY THE PERIOD IS JUST FILLED WITH DOPING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE SPORT.  THE ONLY HOPE IS MIGUEL INDURAIN.

MARY

Although I found Mary to be frustrating over the years I realize I might have been closer to her than Joann or Ralph. In my younger years I spent more time with her and she checked in a visited me when I was off in California supposedly going to College. We lived together in the same house in Niu Valley. I felt nothing at first, I thought this was coming but as I reflected I realize I seem to have a certain sadness.

RACE THOUGHTS

Must say, "I'm thrilled with results from Detroit SUP Festival". Fourth Overall, First in Age Group and only 40 Somethings in front of me. Thanks to Team member, AlmostDoveArt for capturing the event! GREAT PICTURES!!! Sometimes you just need to test yourself. I was a little nervous going into the event. I followed the times of some previous races and had done some practice piece on Gallup and new I was capable of doing OK, but actually putting it on the line was going to be a challenge. I suppose I should have sprinted across the finish instead of the casual I've got this attitude. My Coach in my head is now telling me, "Don't Ever Do That Again, it cost you a Medal in the Overall"! This sport is going to continue to grow and it will get tougher and tougher as we see more people competing. I'm still the oldest guy here in Michigan. Old is GOOD!

Snow day

Snow is sprinkling down and the piano fingers sprinkle the key boards in the background. Moody Friday.
