 Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and being alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning.

 Somebody just needs to cut me some slack and say, "You are an interesting story".

Halloween 2023

 I am a little surprised that I almost enjoyed Halloween in Ann Arbor this year. We ran out of Candy with lots of kids out on our street. Steve our next door neighbor had the right idea, Solo stove going with a table set up. We have a nice neighborhood.

Artist Block

 Have lost motivation and feel I am running dry.  I believe I stopped being what I consider an Artist more than 40 years ago. I became a restaurant worker who says that this job is only a stop gap. I became a Coach and found some solace in helping youth. All the while dabbling in Drawing and Painting. I retired and Said: "Now I can become an Artist!" Well, guess what? Time and flavors and have passed you. 

I was somebody once. Or am I what I always was. A pretender, A Dreamer. Who knows.

It is pretty late in life for me, but I am beginning to see the power of WORDS! I have spent most of my life recording pictures with my hand on paper, on canvas. These are pretty painting and drawings. This is who I am.

WORDS paint a powerful picture when put together in way that you see the place, the emotion, the situation and the pure ANGST. 

I wish I knew how to put words together.

I think

No one said that to be happy you should work as hard as you can to get money.

No one said it was important to be as wealthy as the people around you.

No one said you should choose your career based on its earning potential.

No one said they regretted not getting even with someone who slighted them.

The BrokenLeg

 Porter broke her leg (Tibia and Fibula) on Saturday. She fell three steps to the landing. She couldn't put pressure on the leg and was taken to Emergency. She has a splint on her right leg now and is waiting for a cast. It seems that the medical system is in dire straits because it took a lot of work on Rose's part to get an appointment. It is absurd to have to wait till November as on place said that would be the earliest date. It is Oct. 5, 2023 today. 

She had a horrible night when this picture was taken. Up all night fighting sleep and parents along with Grandma. She doesn't understand what is happening and it is Heart Breaking! Fell asleep around 6 in the morning with Grandma. 

"I'm Not Crazy!"

 It is amazing the joy I find in just watching P.  The visit to Grandma and Grandpa was short but especially sweet. Sugar B-day weekend with family. Good for the Soul.
